Introducing support for Google Analytics 4

We are thrilled to announce that Sorry™ status pages now have seamless integration for Google Analytics 4.

If you previously configured Google's Universal Analytics, which Google is sunsetting on 1st July 2023, you can now collect your analytics using a Google Analytics 4 measurement or Google Tag Manager.


By combining the incident messaging capabilities of Sorry™ status pages with the advanced analytics features of Google Analytics 4, you can better understand your status page performance during incidents and drive meaningful improvements to your overall user experience.


To summarize the changes:

  • Google is sunsetting Universal Analytics (UA) on 1st July 2023, meaning UA tracking codes will no longer collect new data.
  • Configure your status page to use GA4 measurement ID.
  • Support for Google Tag Manager is now available as an alternative setting.
  • You can use this feature now. Follow these steps to set it up.
