Create a maintenance notice

This article explains how to create a maintenance notice on your status page.
Use a maintenance notice when you are planning work that may affect your service.
Create a planned maintenance notice
To create a maintenance notice:
- Open the status page you want to manage from Manage Status Pages.
- Select Write New Notice.
- Choose Maintenance from the notice type options.
- Make sure Planned Maintenance is selected.
- Select Due to begin and choose the date and time the maintenance will start.
- Select Expected to end and choose the date and time the maintenance is expected to finish.
- Choose whether the notice should Automatically change to 'underway' and 'complete' at the expected times.
- Choose the Affected Components impacted by the maintenance. You can select more than one component.
- The Current status will be Scheduled.
- Select a Notice Template to auto-complete the subject and initial comment, or enter these manually.
- Enter the Subject.
- Enter the Initial comment.
If automatic status changes are selected, the maintenance notice will move to Underway at the Due to begin time, and to Complete at the Expected to end time.
Markdown is supported in the initial comment textbox.
Finally, choose whether to:
- publish the notice to your status page only
- publish the notice and send notifications to subscribers
Select the relevant publishing option to create the maintenance notice.
Your maintenance notice will now appear on your status page under the Scheduled section.
