Integrate Google Tag Manager (GTM) with your Status Page
Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a free tool that simplifies adding and managing analytics and tracking tags on your Sorry™ Status Page without editing code directly. With GTM, you can integrate tools like Google Analytics, track user interactions, and gain valuable insights into how visitors use your status page. This guide walks you through setting up GTM, adding tags, and troubleshooting common issues.

Set Up Google Tag Manager
To start using GTM, you’ll need a GTM account and container. Follow these steps:

Create a GTM Account:
- Visit tagmanager.google.com and sign in with your Google account.
Click Create Account, enter an account name (e.g., “Sorry Status Page”), and select your country.
Set up a container:- Choose “Web” as the target platform.
- Name the container (e.g., “Status Page Container”).
Accept the GTM Terms of Service and click Create.

Enable GTM in Your Sorry™ Status Page:
- Log in to the Sorry™ Management UI at app.sorryapp.com.
- Navigate to Status Page Settings by clicking the cog icon on the left sidebar.
- Go to the Search & Analytics tab.
- Locate the Google Tag Manager section and toggle it on.
- Enter your GTM Container ID (found in GTM, formatted as GTM-XXXXXXX).
Save your changes.

Verify Installation:
- Open your status page in a browser.
- Use GTM’s Preview and Debug mode (in the GTM dashboard, click “Preview”) to confirm the container loads correctly.
- Alternatively, use Google’s Tag Assistant or your browser’s developer tools (F12) to check for the GTM script.
